How dangerous is radiation exposure? While the word “radioactivity” might bring to mind  Godzilla rampaging through Tokyo, or a man bit by a radioactive spider swinging between skyscrapers, the reality is much less fantastical.

On a more realistic level, people tend to fear real-world events such as radioactive fallout and the accumulation of radioactivity from their daily surroundings. But just how much is dangerous for our health?
